Comments

Comments received during the NEPA process will be posted at this location, as they are received, in a timely fashion. The scoping period had an initial closing date of April 12. However, in response to public requests, DOE reopened the scoping period until June 14. DOE extended the scoping period to a date as yet to be determined beginning June 15; read more HERE.

Comments received outside the scoping period will continue to be processed and recorded, and will be considered as time allows.

Please Note: Every effort is made when a comment is submitted to enter the data associated with the comment, such as first and last names and addresses, also called “metadata." In some situations, comments have been received that do not contain all this information for a variety of reasons, including, for example, incomplete website comment form or unclear handwritten entries. It is not DOE’s role to attempt to identify this information; the risk of associating a comment with the wrong person is higher than the risk of missing some of the commenter’s metadata. In cases where the comment comes from someone who has previously commented, we try to enter the associated missing data if it is clearly the same person. There are cases, however, where the associated metadata is not available, and, as such, comment data fields presented on pages via the links below will be empty and appear to be missing data. We regret any confusion this may cause.
